A grade of "C-" or better must be earned in a prerequisite course in order to advance to the next course in the sequence.
Dental Hygiene majors may take a Biology class only two times. If the student has not achieved a minimum of “C-” after the second attempt, the student may not repeat the class.
Transfer students must be enrolled at Lewis University full-time for a minimum of three (3) semesters in order to earn a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. In addition, the majority of a student’s prerequisite sciences must be taken at Lewis University in order to be eligible to enroll in this program.

Advanced Writing Requirement
The advanced writing requirement of the General Education curriculum is satisfied by successful completion of the curricula at Lewis University and the College of DuPage or Parkland College.
Students complete the professional phase of the program at one of two sites: College of DuPage or Parkland College.
